Eating Cats

A Northern Territory woman has decided that a solution to the Feral cat problem is... Eating them http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/feline-hungry/2007/08/29/1188067191856.html . Not withstanding my immediate protectionary instincts towards my own 2 little feline terrors at home, why is it that the crazy ones are always the ugly ones? (take a look at the article picture). And, if they are a more competent predator, why do environmentalists believe that killing one animal to save others is in the slightest bit ethical? In my opinion, the life of a Feral cat is every bit as valuable as the life of any native animal, but it seems most environmentalists disagree, they seem to have decided that, for no discernable reason, things should remain exactly as they were when humans arrived, personally i'd much rather Australia was populated by cute purring kittys than ugly, baby snatching dingo's!

APEC in Sydney

Absolutely unbelievable that Australian leaders would ride roughshod over the everyday lives of the millions of people who live in Sydney to provide a 'showcase' for foreign diplomats. It must be said that this kind of complete arrogance and show of military force almost makes me want to turn up and protest.

And when all's said and done, the security measures seem, well, nothing more than a show. If, for instance, i seriously wanted to assasinate one of the world leaders attending the APEC forum (perhaps a certain Texan with a learning disorder), I would simply have rented an apartment within the exclusion zone and stashed my rocket launcher/high powered rifle under my bed, well before any security details even began to be alert. Leaving me free to take a pot shot from a high rise window at my leisure. Despite bullet proof limo's and Gatling gun armed secret service SUV's, all it takes is a split second in the open or behind a standard glass window for a gunman to take a shot. (I recommend any would be Assasin to read Frederick Forsythe's "Day of the Jackal" :)

On that subject, I wonder if we could start up a charitable fund to pay a decent hitman to knock off George W? It is a humanitarian cause after all.

Veyron again...

VEY-RY NICE: The Bugatti Veyron is the world's fastest car, surpassing the McLaren F1 and capable of over 400km/h. If a McLaren passed a static Veyron at 190km/h the Bugatti would still hit 320km/h first.

Have I mentioned how much i want one of these? .. Although i was very impressed visiting the lamborghini dealership in south melbourne last week. I wouldn't say no to a new one of them either! (As long as i didn't have to pay for it!)
